What's New

Drying History: Our Gunstock wood is dried over 3 years, or we will state otherwise. Moisture content is taken from the center most point of a newly cut slab, this insures 100% accuracy in moisture readings. Our Gunstock blanks are stored inside a dry cool environment. Wood can season and air dry to a low 6% moisture content in Idaho's dry high desert climate. Most of our blanks are below the 10% moisture content level. On some occasions we will sell some wood above the 10% MC level at a lower price. Drying wood is a very complicated process that requires constant monitoring and handling of the wood to insure proper dryness. Our wood is properly dried and we stand by it.
